Eco-Industrial Park Retrofits

The Ross Eco Industrial Park Project, Regina, SK –  Completed one of the most comprehensive industrial park resource baseline assessments in Canada for this industrial park that has more than 500 businesses.  Combined datasets from City, utility, and business sources to create a ‘big picture’ of the park in terms of resource (energy [electricity & natural gas], water, fuel, land, and materials) consumption and waste generation (e.g, wastewater, packaging materials.  Next steps in the project include identification of sustainable transportation and other EIN opportunities and feasibility screening via themed business focus groups.

Tilbury Eco-Industrial Partnership – Stakeholder Engagement & Capacity Building – Working with local businesses to retrofit EIN principles into an existing industrial park (>600 businesses). Stakeholder engagement and capacity building workshop attended by ~40 businesses, some of which have since become members of the advisory committee. Phase 2 (technical baseline study) has been officially launched and funding proposals are being prepared.
